Jonny Back in Brighton
Jonny Quality, Fatboy Slim's Favourite Playmates®, are bringing a touch of Manhattan class back to Brighton's Komedia on the 24th of November.
Known for their brand of hip-hop surfabilly, Jonny Quality have returned to the UK after a 'wonderful night' on NBC's Late Night With Conan O'Brien. Performing Fatboy Slim's latest single - It's A Wonderful Night - with Norman Cook and singer Lateef.
The song is familiar territory for the band, having been an audience favourite on the recent sell-out tour around the country and on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross - with a certain Brighton DJ accompanying them on bass...
Sean Moody, the brains behind Jonny Quality, said today: "After two months of discovering new audiences, it's great to be welcomed back by the crowd that allowed us to get out there in the first place."
Jonny Quality will play the Komedia on Wednesday 24th of November at 9pm and then the Concorde 2 on the 14th of December. Their first single will be out in the New Year.

Jonny Gets Laney Amplification and Ibanez Guitars
to go on the road with him on the UK tour. Mark at Headstock gave Jonny one of them good old "How do you do handshakes" then hooked him up with a fat Laney amp and beautiful Ibanez guitar. Thanks Mark! Jonny also gets his strings from Ernie Ball

Fatboy Slim New Album Incoming
Norman Cook a.k.a. Fatboy Slim has announced the title, first single and release date for his new record, the long awaited follow-up to 2000's 'Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars'.
Stepping back into the fray, Cook has confirmed that his new album will be entitled 'Palookaville' and is set to be released October 4. The album will be preceded by a single, 'Slash Dot Dash', on September 13.
Famous for his collaborations, the Fatboy has once again called upon his famous friends for contributions. Guests confirmed for the record include Damon Albarn, Lateef from Blackalicious, legendary bassist Bootsy Collins, Justin Robertson and Brighton band Jonny Quality. It's a bit different this one...as you will find out soon enough!

Fatboy's Such a Great Support - The Argus
Superstar DJ Fatboy Slim is used to performing to hundreds of thousands of adoring fans. But he gave his loyal Brighton following a chance to get up close and personal in an intimate performance to a capacity crowd at the King and Queen pub in Marlborough Place. Hundreds of fans poured through the doors to watch the internationally-renowned DJ play his tunes from above a bar. He was supporting band Jonny Quality's at their fourth gig in Brighton since they formed last year.
He said: "If the Beastie Boys had sex with a stray cat while the Jam were watching, Jonny Quality would be their love child. Watch out for a guest appearance on the next Fatboy CD for more."
His personal assistant and close friend Emma Coquet added: "I have never seen him look like that at a gig before - he was really blown away." The DJ, aka Norman Cook, had agreed to warm up the crowd under an alias but word soon spread across the city.
Wearing his trademark blue jeans and short-sleeved shirt, the DJ launched himself into a buoyant, if relaxed, show after arriving half an hour late.
Then Jonny Quality's eclectic mix of scratch DJ samples, loud acoustic guitars and tongue-in-cheek rockabilly seemed to win them a new fan base. Norman endorsed Jonny Quality after a chance meeting with Jonny during a night out in Brighton.
The DJ, who lives in Hove, has featured Jonny Quality on one of his tracks for his next album and has also promised to produce their debut once they are signed by a record label.

Back From Prague
Its so great to be back in Brighton. Jonny quality is booking shows in Brighton as well as London, Newcastle anda special beach treat to be announced this summer. The mystery track on Fatboy Slim's new album will be out this September.

Brighton is a hotbed for new unsigned talent and Jonny Quality are no exception. The band is a 4 piece made up of drums, bass, vocals, lead guitar and a scratch DJ. They have played only 3 gigs in Brighton and have attracted interest from our very own superstar Fatboy Slim.
Next Wednesday 12th May Jonny Quality and Mr. Slim will be playing a free show down at the King and Queen pub so expect all hell to break loose around the Victoria Gardens area.
So come one, come all to the King and Queen because it might be one of the last chances to see these boys rock the chrome off a trailer hitch before they go off touring. Expect big things from these inbred hicks.
